After A Long Day
After a long day of hiking and casting lines, I settle by the campfire. It’s warm glow pushing back the evening chill. The crackle of burning logs and the faint scent of pine smoke wrap around me like a blanket, easing the ache in my legs. I sink into a camp chair. The day’s triumphs—a few trout caught and released, The view from that steep ridge—playing through my mind as the fire dances. The stars begin to prick through the darkening sky, and the quiet of the wilderness, broken only by the occasional pop of sap, feels like a gift.
I toss another log on the fire, watching sparks spiral upward, and sip from a glass bottle. The world feels simpler here, stripped down to the rhythm of nature and the glow of the flames. Every knot in my shoulders loosens as you lean back, letting the stillness wash over you. There’s nowhere else to be, nothing else to do—just this moment, the fire’s warmth, and the vast night stretching out beyond. #StayFlexing
